That is not going to be the peak, the peak is only a few weeks or even days ahead.  March 22nd is when the realization will occur.  The realization of the fraud in the real estate market.  Realization that currency deflation will not solve the problem.  Realization that much of the sovereign debt market is rotten.  Realization that paper prices (stocks, bonds, currencies, and especially derivatives) are grossly overvalued.  It may or may not occur with a thump, but it will be a high water mark for some time to come.

Long Long Dead!

It appears that 'Kou Kou' or 'Long Long' the 14 year old Panda died in Japanese custody.  Officially named Xing Xing, the adult Panda was apparently put under anaesthesia in order to surgically extract sperm for artificial insemination, as the normal mating season is between March and May.  Singapore Straits Times story here.  Supposedly, male pandas lose interest in mating once in captivity.  I can imagine how they feel.  There is so much material here, I don't know where to begin, but it's hard to make such stuff up.
